The opportunity that awaits:

We are looking for fit, motivated people who would like to join our South West District Crew. Tasks include plantation management activities and firefighting. Plantation management activities include track maintenance, weed control including the use of chainsaws, brush cutters and conducting plantation assessments and audits. As a small team, we value teamwork, communication, high standards of work and a proactive attitude.

The successful applicants will –

  • Possess a current driver’s licence
  • Live within 30 minutes of a work centre
  • Pass a pre-employment medical check and drug and alcohol test
  • Be physically fit
  • Be available for regular weekend standby
  • Be available for deployments in other regions when necessary

Current accreditations in chainsaw use, chemical use, first aid, four wheel driving and a Medium Rigid license are highly regarded but not mandatory. Prior fire experience would be highly regarded in particular CFA General Firefighter accreditation.
